Hong Kong | Profound Wealth
The Cityscapes - if you look closely, the Dark Knight jumps from the IFC tower ;)
The cityscapes here in Hong Kong have grown tremendously. It is truly a sight to behold. My wife had a chance to visit 10 years ago in 2013, and in a span of decade, at least from a tourists perspective, the city is the wealthiest in the world. From the infrastructure, ease of public transport, clearances and speed of escalators, there's nothing like Hong Kong. And this is coming from someone who got married in the tech wonderland that is Japan!
Hong Kong at Night
Panorama of HongKong at the ferry terminal, the Star Ferry landing.
With ease and an Octopus travel card, you can traverse from Tsim Sham Tsui to Kowloon with ease.
Behold, the Pirate Ships!
A signature staple of the trading port history. What used to be the scourge of the sea, now a tourist ferry trip. Still, a splendid backdrop!
Old Hong Kong still exists, if you know where to look...
And the lovely food, if you haven't gone too fancy and mainstream in the malls. Cart Dim Sum is an absolute treasure!
Upscale and Modern Dim sum located in Tsim Sham Tsui..
Of course, there are modern marvels, like Boba at McDonald's and a Transformers themed cafe, the only one in the world!
But the Avenue of Stars is simply where you should spend your day and evenings. You can find the hands of Michelle Yeoh, and the statue of Bruce Lee, paired with the backdrop of pirate ships and elegant storefronts. It simply has it all!
Avenue of Stars, it's the peak daytime adventure in Hong Kong and a great walk from Jardine's Noon time gun.
Don't forget to take a stroll at Victoria Peak Garden! I found my doppelganger ;)
The Arts in the Park festival was running for all the Hong Kong youth! Very vibrant and young!
Bonus points if you make it the Museum of Arts and the Hong Kong History museum!
