Who doesn't love baby monkeys?!
Sitting with Matcha in hand as we arrived at Arishymaya it was time to see the Monkeys! (And bamboo forest... but the monkeys)

Arishimaya Area - known for the Bamboo Forest and Mokey park, along with random kid.

It was a long hike - at least a kilometer up a mountain with stairs and inclines to get to see real in-the wild monkeys. The baby ones were all the rage - the older ones looked disheveled, some were fat hanging around the feeding café all day. For $1 you can get peanuts to feed the monkeys and embody did we! Tried to feed the babies where we could, monkeys love open handed feeding. It was super fun- and the staff were there to make sure no outside food was given and that we weren’t attacked.
Look at that hand - they're just like us, we're just like them?
For $10 the park offered astounding views of Kyoto

Such wonderful views of Kyoto at the monkey park

A quick stop at the Bamboo Park
Bamboo forest - what can I say but it was yards and yards of tall Bamboo! Didn’t realize the Kardashians were just there - hard to find a great photo shoot spot with so many people. We debated to get kimonos and we should’ve! Such a fun light activity to integrate Japanese style into the photo shoot. A must do for next time. We found the spot where one of the K sisters posters and boy did we recreate the shot. How do they even travel?
